TEAM RFM COLOMBIA
The Franciscan Network for Migrants Colombia Team emerged at the JPIC Congress of the Franciscan Family of Colombia (FFC) held in Bogotá at the end of March 2021. At this meeting, a group of brothers from the FFC, inspired by the work of the Migrant Pastoral Ministry of the San Lorenzo Mártir Parish in Medellín, initiated a dialogue about how to welcome, protect, promote and integrate those who experience the exodus of human mobility from the culture of encounter. Inspired by the work carried out by the Franciscan Network for Migrants and Franciscans International (FI). in Central America, it was decided to structure the Colombian team.
Objective
Animated by the culture of encounter, our objective is to welcome, protect, promote and integrate migrants and internally displaced persons who, for reasons of generalized violence, socio-political conflicts, economic situation or natural disasters, transit or seek to remain in Colombia to (re)build their projects of life and the social fabric.
